Our natural detergent pods are biodegradable, yet formulated to cut through the toughest grease and food particles. The gentle scrub eliminates residue and protects glasses (even safe for fine crystal) from etching.

Our pod membrane is a water-soluble film made of polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH). When the film dissolves in your washer and enters the water stream micro-organisms (including bacteria, yeasts, and fungi) that commonly exist in water treatment plants are capable of breaking down polyvinyl alcohol to water and carbon dioxide.

Dish Block Zero Waste Dish Washing Bar

Each 7.5 oz bar will last a LONG time. It can last a single person who hand-washes all dishes (no dishwasher) for approximately 6 months. If the person only uses the bar for pots and pans, it will last even longer. Each block can replace up to 3 bottles of typical liquid dish soap.

How to use: Scrape dishes to remove excess grease and food. Wet sponge, for plates, bowls and cups, and rub dish block® soap to create suds. (Repeat as needed to refresh suds.) Wash items and rinse well. Works in warm or cold water. We prefer warm water for the best results. For pots and pans, use a scrubber or scourer.

Please note: using a strong scourer or scrubber exclusively on the block will wear it down faster than using a soft sponge or cloth.

For extra sparkly dishes: wipe dishes dry with a cloth.

Pro Kitchen tip: Use the same dishwashing block® suds to clean your sink when it gets dirty, this can be used on porcelain, stainless, stone and glass sinks safely. We have seen customers use it to clean dirty & stained oven top surfaces as well!

Machine wash: Add into wash cycle with Nellie’s Laundry Soda. Small loads – 1 tablespoon; regular loads – 2 tablespoons; large loads – 3 tablespoons. Use 3 tablespoons for very dirty or stained clothing.
Pre-soak or hand wash: separate whites from colors. Use only one tablespoon along with Nellie’s Laundry Soda in 10 L (2.6 gallons) of WARM or HOT water. soak for 1/2 hour then rinse thoroughly.
General stain removal: create solution using 1 tablespoon per 16 oz (500 ml) of water for upholstery, fabric, kitchen floors, counters, trash cans and all other water washable surfaces. Apply solution to stain, wait 1-5 minutes, scrub with sponge or blot with towel. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry.
Carpet spot remover: create solution using 1 tablespoon per 16 oz (500 ml) of water. Soak up excess liquid before applying solution to stain. Use only enough to cover stain area, wait 1-5 minutes, soak up with white towel. Repeat if necessary. Ringer thoroughly with water and blot dry. Vacuum once dry.

DO NOT USE: on wool, silk or leather. Not for use on jewelry, latex, paints or wood.

Directions: Wet the bar and run it over your hair just one or two times and massage to create a rich and nourishing lather. Be sure to pair it with our amazing, all natural conditioner bar. Rub shampoo bar over wet hair and agitate with your hands. Rinse completely.

Do not apply too much! Applying too much of the product will make it difficult to rinse out completely. Only a few swipes will create a rich, foaming lather.
